How can i get the length of a modelitem

Hello,I hava some questions to ask

1.just like a pipe,can i get the length,radius,etc from api? or i can only get them from the properties?

2.can i get the random point on the modelitem?i want the coordination

3.here is an example,i have a pipe crosses a wall,and i want to calculate the distance from the edge to the wall ,can api do this?

about your questions, it seems I have replied you no API to know this is a pipe, that is a wall from geometry perspective. So it depends on if there is some properties attached with the model item. i.e. the assumption is the properties are available when the model is exported from the original CAD software. Within these properties, you would be able to get info about radius, length etc. In addition, I do not see a way to measure by API.

As to  the random point on the modelitem, this could be achieved by GenerateSimplePrimitives  of COM API. This blog below tells more.
