Accessing animator through Navisworks API

Hi,

I am trying to build a Navisworks plugin by using the .NET API with C#. This plugin needs to access the animator and get the animation data like keyframes and translation, rotation and scaling infromation at keyframes etc. Is it possible ? Can someone please guide me to a short code example?...

Thankyou so much...

Hi,

Unfortunately we have not yet released a public Animator API.

ADN provide support for the public APIs which we have released.

Regards,

Ian

Hi,

As Ian said, there is not API for animator yet.

but, you could mimic animator by transforming object by the method: OverridePermanentTransform

Hi Xiaodong,

Is there any plan to release it at some point?

There are some functions that are cruely missing on a UI stand points that would sound pretty easy to do using a (proper) API.

For instance: move an entire scene, folder or set by a fixed duration. At the moment it seems the only way to do this is to move each key frame manually.

Cheers,

Nic

Hi Nic,

sorry, I did not hear a plan for animation. Sorry if this is a bad news to you.

If you are ADN, you can log in ADN website and get the DevDays materials, which contains the new features of the next release of Autodesk products.
