Is there a way to paint straight lines similar to say a 3D Coat or photoshop method?
Holding down shift to paint a straight line is super useful. I know in Mudbox shift blurs (which btw how can you adjust the settings for that when you aren't using the blur tool itself - sorry I know that's a different topic!)
Anyway would love to know!
Thanks,
B.
I can't believe there's not an easier way to paint a straight line. It's so basic of a need... I've tried mudbox's curve thing to make a straight line and it's very hard to do... I'm looking for a new program... It's pathetic.
Look and learn before to talk with no sense.

is this maybe something that can be added as a feature? ability to paint a straight line?
Please feel free to add it to our Ideas for Mudbox site: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/mudbox-ideas/idb-p/969

A very good solution to this problem is if you create a simple stencil which is just a horizontal thin line. Using this stencil you can paint straight lines, and with the 'S' hotkey you can easily adjust the line exactly where you want.
