Importing Motionbuilders Actor into Maya

Hello

I was wondering if there was a way to import Motionbuilers Actor into Maya. I would like to give the MB Actor a rig in Maya so that I can map opitical data to the rigged actor back in MB. I am in the process of creating a pre-viz and want to rig the actor so that all of my different mocap scenes can have the same sized Character Actor to have a uniform scale.

Is it possible to give the Actor from MB a rig in MB as well?

I have never been able to do this.  The Actor is kinda weird... it doesn't exist in the schematic view.  There's no way to export it as far as I know.

Anyone else have better success?

Hi,

it's quite easy to extract actor geometry. I was making that in several ways, I wrote about one of them on my blog - http://neill3d.com/en/extracting-actor-geometry

As for the actor solver in Maya, it simply don't exist.
