Custom Property Tutorial?

Hi,

I am trying to set up a custom property that will switch one set of constraints on, while turning another set of constraints off. I made a custom face rig, and set up constraints to either control the joints with the rig, or if you switch constraints, map the joints transforms back to the rig so you could plot existing joint animation back to the rig.

It seems to work great, but I want a custom property "switch" to turn the necessary constraints off or on.

Is there a step by step tutorial somewhere to help a non technical animator out?

Thanks!

Booleans are associated with 0/1 values. If you understand how "set driven key" works, it shouldn't be difficult to achieve this.

Look up "set driven key" on the tube.

Thanks. I can add the boolean and I have the constraints, but I am not quite sure how to connect the boolean from the properties to work the constraints...I don't understand how to connect them. I can make SDK's in Maya, but it seems to be a different process in Mobu. I'll keep digging.

You will need to do this with the Relations Constraint. it allows you to drive attributes like you want.
