controllers in view have gone eg. cameras lights etc.

So im just about to finish my uni assignment when I loaded up the scene and noticed all the controllers for the camera selections and lights  character rigs etc.

I can move them around still using the navigator however I cant actually see them in the scene. Im in normal display. 

Im sure its just some setting to view them all again but cant seem to find it

so it carshed and i reloaded it from the crash file and now all the cameras etc are back so who knows what happened

I think if you press CTRL + A (with maya shortcuts) it will toggle between viewports modes, (i think you were in models only mode)
