Change height of timeline?

I just got Motion Builder 2014, and noticed the timeline is SO TINY!

I can't figure out how to make it larger, but still keeping it in the same spot...

You can right click on the timeline to unlock its height and make it as tall as you like.

Hi Joel,

I can't find the option you're talking about.
I tried to right click on the window itself to change the size too, but it only allows me to change the width.

Any extra help?

thanks,

If you're using Mobu 2014 or newer, right click on the timeline and choose: 'unlock action timeline height'. You'll then be able to drag it's height up or down.

sorry Joel, my bad. I use the 2013.

I think it's possible to do it only from the 2014.

Does anyone know which text file we need to edit to make sure the timeline come up unlocked when we start Motion Builder, and if do, which line to edit? Thanks!

Hi,

For Mobu 2014 on windows, create a new layout and go to:

Documents\MB\2014-x64\config\Layouts

Edit the layout text file, find the section with this line :

ToolName_1 = Transport

and you can change this line

Options_1 = ActionTimelineHeightUnlocked or ActionTimelineHeightLocked

Cheers
