Hello there,
i´ve got a question to the Export of the fiber orientation tensor in Moldflow Adviser student version.
First to my Problem: in my actually research I have to export the fiber orientaion tensor to the FE software abaqus to process anisotropic structural analysis. I´ve investigated that there are a simple way to create anisotropic material data for Abaqus over the Software converse of the Company part Engineering. The Problem is: converse needs the moldflow data in patran Format.
In the following post: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/moldflow-insight-forum/map-moldflow-results-to-fea-models/td-p/721943...
i´ve read that there should be a command line which allows to run the command mpi2bat and export the moldflow data into the patran format. My Problem is, that in my adviser Student Version this command line isn´t available (see Appendix Picture).
Now to my questions:
Is the export of the modlfow data to patran only possible over the Moldflow insight Version?
If the export of the moldflow data to patran is only available over the Moldflow insight Version, is there still another way to export the fiber orientation tensor and the model to the patran format?
Thanks for any kind of answers!
Regard,
Alex

Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Moldflow Advisor Forums!
I understand you are attempting to export a fiber orientation tensor analysis to a .pat file using a Moldflow Adviser Student Version.
Unfortunately exporting to patran is only possible in Moldflow Insight. You are correct in that the command line you refferred to would allow you to export to patran, but not using Moldflow Adviser.
At this time there is no workaround for exporting fiber orientation tensor to the patran format without having access to Moldflow Insight.
The different software interoperability between the two versions of the software is shown below:
If you have any more questions regarding Moldflow, I would be more than happy to answer them for you.
