UV mode not enabled

Hello newbie here,

like many people before me that are learning with the tutorial, I'm having a problem with the Entablature.

Maya Basics/Lesson 4.

I need to create a NURBS Torus and then selecting Control Vertex, after changing the Selection Mode to Components.

I get the error UV Mode not enabled on Entablature.

I do get the dots though, problem is after selecting the dots required the object does not get shaped as planned.

I read the posts about this error that showed up in google, none helped.

Please take some time to help me, thank you!

Not sure what you are asking but keep in mind that nurbs surfaces don't have UVs ...only polygon meshes .

The tutorial wants me to select the top dots and move them upwards, basically mid and bottom dots stay the same whilst the top ones move. Porblem is for me, all dots move upwards, not at the same speed but they still move.

I need to select Control Vertex and reshape the object only by the top dots. I also need to create a NURBS Torus, not a Polygon.

To me it looks like you might have accidently enabled "soft selection" which causes them to move together, is the mesh colorfull like red and  yellow?...press "B" to disable it.

This setting is found in the Toll attribute window.

I've been told. Problem is the tutorial wants me to create a NURBS Torus
and gives me the infos for NURBS.

I need to select the upper dots and and move them upwards reshaping the
object. When I do this all the dots move, not just the ones selected.

Sorry applesanp I never model in nurbs so I don't know how else to assist you.... Any reason why you are sticking to a nurbs tutorial?
Most film and game are done with ploys
