scale a mesh to a known volume

Hi all, does anyone have any thoughts on how to scale a closed polygonal mesh to a known volume while maintaining its relative XYZ scale attributes?  For example, if I have a pitcher whose relative dimensions I can't change but need it to be a given volume, is there a command or a simple script that anyone knows of? Thank you for any thoughts!

Watch this tutorial from Steve Roselle's around 1;48 minutes into the video....http://lesterbanks.com/2014/02/useful-display-bonus-tools-maya/

Hi damaggio, thank you so much for your reply. I am looking to scale an
object to a known volume while maintaining that object's relative
dimensions. For example, I would like to be able to specify that I would
like the trash bag in the tutorial to change from a volume of say 150 units
to a volume of 100 units, and have its X Y Z dimensions change to make the
bag's volume 100 units while the ratio of X to Y to Z remains constant.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
