Problem with converting POLYGON TO SUBDIV please help

Hi everyone

I have a little problem

I have created half a bed. I then change it from a polygon to a subdivision. This goes well.
However, when i copy half that bed along an axis of symmetry, using the Mesh Mirror Geometry tool, and join the verteces along the edges, the plane along which the bed is mirrored is irregular. Instead of a complete, smooth join,it is buckled. I have enclosed some .jpegs to show you guys what i mean.
Hopefully, someone can help me with this problem.
Thx in advance, Tom.

Hi! did you try smoothing you poly model before converting? Mesh>Smooth. You might try to rebuild your poly as well.

Hope this helps

and it might help people to understand the proplem more if u post and image for the mesh with the wirframe before and after the conversion
