Model Null Object Shape Modifying / Changing

Is it possible, please, to modify the shape of the Model Nullobject (the white cross)? Note, that I am talking about a Model Null, not a standard Null.

I let a Model Null object to follow a predefined path, where it changes its orientation and position.

I would need to easily keep track of its modifying orienation either by highlighting positive X, Y, Z axes or by replacing the Null by another non-renderable mesh, a placeholder.

Something, like can be done to the standard null objects.

Thanks.

No, you can't.
And your workflow is not advisable. Models are not intended to be transformed, constrained, parented or any other form of molestation. They're meant to be holders. Use a standard null (a global SRT null) for what you've described. See a preset model that comes with XSI.
