Maya 2015 Modeling Toolkit Insert Edge Loop function

Hello!

I've been using the modeling toolkit and learning with it, but there's one thing that sort of has me scratching my head with one of the tools. Whenever I hold down CTRL to insert an edge loop, I can see the preview of the loop it's going to insert, but when I click to insert it, it doesn't insert a complete loop. If I use the Insert Edge Loop tool from the menu, it works just fine. Take a look at the pics to see what I'm talking about. What could be the cause of this? Is it just the toolkit being buggy? Thanks for the input!
