is there a way to take 50 splines and twist them into a rope?

Want to twist the splines around each other like strands in a rope and then use particle flow to unravel them.

What is the best way to twist the splines?

Maybe this is what you are looking for...
Create a spline with alot of vertices.
Put that one Spline outside of origin.
Set the Transform Coordinate Center, so the pivot is in the origin in world space.
Create an array of splines.
Rotate it by 7.0 and set count to 50.
Select all of them.
Add a Twist Modifier and angle to 900 or higher.

I'll give it a go....I'm looking more for 200 balloon strings. The strings are wrapped around each other and unravel as they float into the air.

Looking for the best way to model the strings. Once I have that I can use particle flow to control the animation.

This idea is going to work for the balloon string. Did some tests and looked good.
