Insert edge loop with numeric value?

Hi guys

is there any way to insert edge loop (Equal distance from edge=ON) using a numeric velue like mm or cm. In Channel Box thers a Weight option but thats based on percentage value. I would need something simular but with distance from edge.

Amy help would be appriciated!

i think that there is no option for that. But you can do this:

- lets say that You need the edge placed on 17 mm form the first edge;

- create a cube 17x17x17 (You don't need all dimensions to be 17mm, but its faster to make it like this and You won't be confused which side to use)

- snap the pivot to a bottom left vertex, and now snap the cube on the plane, on the left edge.
- place a new edge on the plane and move it along the prefered axis with pressed "V" to snap it on the cube vertex.
- have a beer.
