Hello!
Is there a way (a plug-in, a script) in Maya to insert an edge next to another edge with a specific (for example 0.5 cm) distance between the two edges?
When adding supporting edges before smoothing an object I always eyeball it. Is there a way to make it more exact and consistent?
Kind regards
Victor
You can use the bevel tool, and adjust the offset distance. It's a workaround, I know, and you probably need to do a little manual adjustment in the corners, but it works OK for simple geometry
Thanks for the reply man! It's just that I'm trying to find out if there is a "real" way to do it. I know how to do it, I just want to know if there is a fast and exact way to do it either in Maya or with a plug-in.
