Few CVs are not moving when its corresponding Lattice points are moved.

Hi,

Am using Maya 2011,working on a hand by creating lattices to make some changes.
When I select the lattice points corresponding to the CVs and move on Y axis ,all CVs are moving except for 3 CVs.I dont know the reason as to why only the 3 CVs are not getting affected by the change in lattice points.I did touch the base of the lattice by just trying out some scaling on X & Y axis,am really not sure if that has done something to it.I hope not.
When ever I have used lattices for the other fingers I havent faced this issue.
Kindly any of u let me know whats making those 3 verticies only to be stationary.
