extrude along curve

Hi,

I am trying to make a cable by extruding cylinder along CV curve. The cable comes out okay but something weird happens to it. It's almost like half of the cables normals would be reversed. I have tried to delete history and freeze transformations but that hasn't helped.

I attach screenshot to show what i mean.

Deleting history and freezing tranformations won't fix normals - you can display the normals, select the offending faces and reverse them if that's what your problem actually is.

Generally, you'll get a better result if you extrude a face along a curve, not a cylinder.  I'm actually surprised that it worked that way.
