I am trying to model a pigeon and I was wondering if Maya had feathers? maybe under fur and a different setting or something? I did think of just using mudbox and stencil feathers in. still working on the wing so I still have away to go but the body doesnt look bad so far.
You could use Paint Effects feathers. They're under Paint Effects -> Get Brush -> Feathers. Don't forget that you can convert them to polygons when you're done adding them...
