Can't select faces from behind - ONLY when in transparent view?
Hello, I am having problems in Maya. I have used free programs like Blender. i like how in Blender, you can select the faces behind only when in transparent view. i have looked on other forums(and google), and found no solution. i am new to Maya, but know most basics and have some modeling skills. i appreciate any help.
Altough this tread is really old, maybe my answer could help someone else: Double click in the Select Tool to bring up the options and under Common Selection Options turn off the checkbox "Camera based selection" (either for Marquee or Drag, whichever you are using).
Spent some time trying to figure out why I suddenly couln't select everything inside my Marquee and every answer lead to "Display>Polygon>Backface culling" which was just the contrary to what I was looking for. Hope it helps someone else.
