I would like to have the same functionality to easily upload data to a mockup from an in-product add-in in Solidworks as is already available with Inventor 2013/2014. Which versions of Solidworks would be most important to support with this type of add-in?
SolidWorks Customers typically do not upgrade immediately to the latest release until the first or second service pack of a new version is available. Depending on the size of the company, IT will commonly wait 6-9 months before migrating over to the latest version. Some users will even skip releases, so to have a Mockup Add-in for SolidWorks 2011, 2012, & 2013 seems fair.
