Mockup 360 Readme - Updated 4/15/2014

Mockup

Readme April 15, 2014

- [April-15] If you already have the Mockup 360 add-in installed for Inventor 2013 or 2014, you will be required to uninstall the existing version by using Add/Remove Programs in the control panel. Then install the new version through the download link in the Mockup 360 client dashboard.

- If you run into any installation failures and are unable to re-install the client successfully you may need to clear the cache folder under the path 'C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0'. Remove any folders whose names contain ‘mock’ and those which were edited around the timestamp of the failure. This will likely require deleting an 'auto...api.' folder and the 'manifest' folder which are in the same directory as the 'mock...' folders.

- The latest versions of Firefox, Version 26 and later, blocks Java plugins by default and thus will cause the installtion of Mockup 360 to be blocked. If you choose to use Firefox to install Mockup 360 you must follow the directions here to enable Java plugins manually before you can do so:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-enable-java-if-its-been-blocked

- Mockup 360 supports the Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.0/8.1 64-bit operating systems

- The Mockup360 add-in supports Inventor 2013, 2014, and 2015.

- If you are experiencing poor graphics performance please go to the Options menu, choose the Advanced tab, and makes sure the graphics system is set to ‘Autodesk’

- If the default view orientation of an inserted model is not consistent with the orientation seen in Inventor, use the view navigation tools or view cube to re-orient it.

- If you sign in to the client with a user ID that is already signed in, the previous session will be signed out automatically.

- To insert assembly files from A360 , it is necessary to zip the top assembly together with its reference files and name the zip file as “Assembly full name.<assembly extension>.zip (for example: Assembly.iam.zip)

- Depending on your anti-virus/firewall settings, the installation of Mockup 360 client may be blocked by default. When prompted by your antivirus or firewall software, be sure to accept the installation.

- Do not create folders with the suffix ‘.mockup’ in Autodesk 360.

- You may experience a black screen when loading files due to server-side performance issues. Please wait until a mockup is completely loaded before attempting commands or edits.

- For selecting geometries, in many cases you may need to isolate the selected geometry type in the selection filter.

- Mockup 360 login sometimes fails the first time after installing the client, and a message of “Service Unavailable” will be shown. If you experience this please retry by clicking the [Try again] button in the message box.

- Activating the home view through the navigation bar will change the view mode from orthographic to perspective.
