The ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded

Inventor 2010 works ok, but Autocad 2010 and Autocad Mech. Desktop 2010 have
the following message displayed in the ribbon area: The ribbon does not have
any tabs or panels currently loaded.

Thanks, Mike

Mike,

Type Ribbon at the command prompt and verify if ribbon tabs/panels appear. Else follow below steps.

  • Command wscurrent--> enter Structure

  • Command wscurrent-->Enter Mechanical

  • If you still have the issue;

  • On the command line, enter menuload and unload all the customization groups-->close

  • Menuload--> Select browse and load the acadM.CUI from acadm folder. ( C:\Documents and Settings\User login name\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD Mechanical 2010\R18.0\enu\Acadm\)

  • Click Load and then click Close

  • Command wscurrent-->Enter Mechanical

  • Let me know if this helps.

    For anyone having this problem.....right click in the command line area and select options.
    select the "profiles" tab
    select the "AutoCAD" profile
    select the "Set Current" button
    select your previous profile or the correct one you really want current and close.
    This should bring your "Ribbon" back.

    Note: if you select the "Reset" button you will reset too many network configuration paths and this will give you a bigger headache than before unless your running a stand alone version of the software.

    Let me know if this helps.

    I am having the same problem with Civil 3D 2010. Your solution of loading ACAD profile then reloading Civil 3D profile brings back the Ribbon. However, when I close the application and open it again, the Ribbon is again GONE! Does anyone know a way to perminantly restore the ribbon so that I am not forced to conduct this opporation every time I open the application?
