The files of Inventor 2009 can not be saved to old version style, such as 2005?

I have some important files of Inventor 2009 that I cannot save to old version style to my friends. Does Autodesk company offer transferring program to solve this version problem?

Sincerely,

John

The best approach is to export your 2009 model to the STEP format and then have the others import that file into 2005.  You'll end up with everything in 2005 except for the feature recipe and assembly constraints.

Inventor, like all other parametric, feature based models, don't support saving back to older versions because the newer version contains feature definitions and such that the old version doesn't support.

I hope this helps,
