I'm fairly new to MDT and I have a question about constraining parts library
fasteners. If I make a screw connection with say, a bolt, flat washer, then on
the otherside another flat washer, a lockwasher, and a nut, should I constrain
each of these parts individually after they are placed in an assembly? It is
too bad they are not placed automatically with constraints. I have a feeling
that if I leave them unconstrained, I will have problems down the road, but
that is an aweful lot of work. I mean if I have to do 8 of these that is 40
sets of constraints... I'm hoping someone can tell me if there is a better way
to do it. Thanks.

There is one good thing about having to constrain
all these fasteners - as a designer it helps you feel the pain of the guy in
the shop who actually has to put these things together.
I know I have reevaluated if 3 fasteners might
not do as well as five, in the old (2d) days I would have just made an array
out of the assembly
