MDT R5 plotting with Windows 7

I understand this is a mismatch using an old, favorite program with a new OS and it resulted in some plotting problems.  Everything previously worked as expected under Windows XP.  The new system will still plot using PDF Writer and my desktop printer that is directly connected through a usb port.  The problem is our network printers (not plotters).  I"ve tried to add them using the MDT Plotter Manager Add-A-Plotter Wizard and selecting System Printer.  The setup dialog box sees the network printers but then opens a new box saying: "Autodesk Hardcopy Add-A-Plotter Wizard has stopped working".  It offers to try an solve the problem but with no success.  It also gives problem details that did not help me or our IT guy.

I'm pretty sure IT added the newest printer drivers when they set up the new PC and OS.  I would like to continue with this release for a while.  Any suggestions?
