Heal body for Feature Exchange w/ STEP file

I am getting an error message when trying to run Feature Exchange on a STEP
file from a Pro/E model. The error message reads:

Input body is Tolerant. Do you want to heal the body?

Then after selecting Heal and waiting about 10 minutes and I get another
message. This one says:

Unable to heal the body. Feature Recognition not invoked.

Has anyone had to deal with this? And is there another way of healing this
body so I can use Feature Exchange on it?
