What version of AutoCAD Mechanical? What does the AMVER command report?

The command "AMVER" doesn't work. In Help/About it said "Autodesk Autocad Mechanical 2006 SP2" Product Version: Z.78.0

If the AMVER command doesn't work then you must be running the vanilla
AutoCAD profile. Does the error bring up the crash report dialog? If so
could you tell us the email address you are entering into the report?

Also, have you checked with the makers of the Striker software to make sure
you have all available updates of that product installed?

Yes, I made all the update for Striker... and the email address I wrote with the crash report is "mboucher@chemineeli...." (like my username here)

Could you please send in another crash report. Make sure to enter the same
email address and enter 'For Mike Dickason' in the text edit box.

We apparently had some problems with the server this morning which processes
the reports. Would it be possible for you to send in a couple more reports
right now?

Hmmm.... for some reason the report still isn't coming through. In your
TEMP directory there should be a file named dumpdata.zip with a timestamp
which corresponds to the time you sent in the report. Could you post a copy
of that file here?

Ok. If you close the object property manager before invoking the Striker
command do you still get the crash?

Hey... It's working now ! Thank a lot! And I tried to open back the object property manager and it doesn't crash anymore...

But why the object property manager made it crash?

The object property manager (OPM) is susceptible to timing sequences. It
appears that the Striker command is doing something which was triggering
paint notifications for the OPM at a time when the OPM wasn't ready to
paint. By turning off the OPM you avoid the paint calls and thus avoid the
crash. I would have expected the crash to return when you turned the OPM
back on and repeated the steps, but I'm not going to spend any time trying
to figure out why it's not crashing.

The problem with Striker's Library is back again ! But we need the OPM for work ! We asked to our consulter from BusCom but they find nothing 😞 !!!

Thanks a lot if you want to help me again!

Hi Steve,

You could try doing a repair installation to see if that fixes anything.
Otherwise my only suggestion for you to avoid using the OPM when using
Striker on your 2006 release.

Thanks
And am I gonna lost my settings with a repair installation? If yes, how can I save my settings before the repair installation and reload it after?
