exporting 2d files from MDT2008 to Acad 2004 format using amviewout

Is there a way in options (or elsewhere)to set the program to always save the 2D view files to 2004 format from MDT 2008? Now I have to remember to change the format everytime that I export a 2D drawing file. The File save save as choice in options has AutoCAD 2007 and it is greyed out. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place.
