DIMREASSOCIATE

Hi. Can anyone explain DIMREASSOCIATE? I was trying DIMREASSOCIATE exploded orphan grouped dims in paper space, - it did not work. Regards Alex

I think it is used to reattach dims that have lost there starting and ending points on geometry. I think in ACAD 2002 the dim assoc setting was enhanced to allow for dims to update if the Circle diameter was changed using a grip edit or a property change. But in the case where TRIM or EXTEND where used to modify a line the dimensions may not find the connection point, so REASSOCIATE would allow you to re pick your start and end points as needed. I was thinking about reattaching exploded Orphaned dimensions back to their connection points where they were as a referenced before, instead of redimensioning whole dwg. Al "Kevin A.
