How long a minute is depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on.

available anywhere?

Is this what you want? paste this into the help... index text box
DIESEL string functions: - (subtraction)
it should take you to a page that shows all the functions.

OK that works great, it did what I wanted but where do I find a list of
functions. I would Have never figured that ctab was used for layout tab
name.

I think what you are looking for is variables? If you have express tools, go
into the tools pulldown, and there is a system variable editor..... I find it
the easiest to use to browse thru the variables...... I agree though that ctab
is a pretty obscure name with nothing in the help file pointing you to it that I
could find.

I think so. Looks like I'll need a few lessons in ACAD lingo to understand
the descriptions though. Thanks for the info.

Hi guys,

I'm using diesel rtext or something like that, found on the web. Anyway it works in AutoCAD 2013 and in 2014 it doesn't . Any idea why? Shall I do something with my settings or am I lost?

My values:

$(getvar, "dwgname") Plotted on: $(edtime, 0,DD"-"M"-"YYYY - HH:MM) by $(getvar, "loginname")

I've tried every proxy configuration but with no sucsess - previously I had bouding box now I don't have even this box.. No matter what is choosen during opening the file.

Any ideas? Maybe some bypass? All I need is printing date on my drawing. On particular drawing not every drawing that is printed on my computer. Any help appreciated.

Quick update. diesel text doesn't work in Architecture and Mechanical Autocad. Plain Autocad and P&ID understand diesel text.

DIESEL is alive and well through 2014 versions on AutoCAD, including verticals.

RTEXT is an Express Tool: you must install ET to get it to work or just to see other RTEXT objects.
Or upgrade your skill set to use the native FIELD command instead.
