I have files from another user that I've tried to catalog in. However when I localize a part if that file has a block definition it won't localize. It'll xref in but that defeats the purpose of switching to using the catalog function. Can someone tell me what the deal is or how I can work around it?
I think this is by design. MDT will filter out all but the MDT parts. Use
insert block to get it in or turn the block that's disappearing into a part
before you localize it.
