BOM / Parts list

Hello All,

I have used MDT for many years but never had the need to use the BOM function until now.

When I create an assenbly, I insert parts and sub assemblies in the same order as one would

at the assembly bench, assembling the actual product.

I cannot get the BOM to show the parts and sub assemblies in the same order.

Reading the tutorials is of no help because they were written by experts who have long forgotten

what it is like not to know anything.

Also, what is the difference between a BOM and a parts list?

Sincerely,

Ralf

You could edit BOM data base ( command: ambom) and remunerate each item number.
Mechanical Desktop is weird assigning item number for assemblies, I remunerate item numbers most of the time.
