Assy constraining on (2) conical surfaces

I read in this discussion site of someone having an answer to this assy
condition.
I have an expanding collet assy. There are (2) cones that create the
expansion function. (1) male, (2) female.
I would like to MATE constrain the two using the TAN options. MDT will
not complete the function.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Norb,

I thing this will work:

1. Construct a work plane tangent to the conical surface of the male part
2. Construct a work plane tangent to the conical surface of the female part
3. Construct a work axis (using the sketch option of amworkaxis command)
over the work plane of the male part.
4. Mate the work axis of male part with work plane of female part using
axis-plane option of AMMATE command

Thanks for the input Olavo,
And I can see where you are heading, I just need a couple of pointers for
setting up the work plane to a conical surface.
Greatly appreciate the help.
