all, I'm trying to figure out a way to re-order parts and sub-assemblies
within the browser. For example (I'm sure we've all been here but to clarify)
I have a part or assembly at the top of the browser so now all constraints
connect everything to that top level part or assembly essentially using the
top item as the "grounded" part. So now I introduce a new part that now needs
to take the place of the "grounded" part by moving it to the top of the
browser. The problem I'm having is the easiest way I know of to move that item
to the top of the browser is to create a new part and then start dragging
whatever item I want to be on top to the bottom where it falls under my newest
created part and then continue doing so with the rest of the parts and
assemblies until I have them in the order I want. It's painfully slow this way
and there's got to be another way. Anyone know? Thanks,
Superslinky

I'm still on MDT 6 so this might have changed,
but I can drag the newly created part to the top. Try holding the shift-key
while dragging.

Don't know what your post had to do with the original question but in my
humble opinion MDT (any version) is by far NOT the best 2D or 3D program out
there. I will admit that the 2D capabilities are exceptional but the 3D is
down right primitive in comparison to others out there. For example: Solid
Edge, Solidworks, Inventor, Pro/E, and even UG and Catia blow MDT out of the
water. Give em a shot one day and you'll never want to go back (just my
opinion though). Take it easy, Superslinky
