White filter on top of texture when rendering

Hi, I'm rendering as short film for uni and in two of the scenes the character is covered with some short of white filter. The texture is still under because you can see a bit of the color, so I don't think it's a problem of the texture. But I don't see what could be causing to only happen to some of the objects of the scene and not others.

It only happens when rendering the scene, not when viewing the render view inside of Maya.

Any idea of what the problem could be?

Hmm thats a strange one. For me it does look like doubled geometry.

Not sure if this is a good way to check it, but I erased a face and there is nothing underneath (the black is the inside of the mouth) so it doesn't seem to be the problem.

The mouth is not affected. Check the eyes.
