Render Farm - giving Exit Error 211 on Nodes

We have a Render Farm running Maya with mentalray 2015 (upgraded from 2013) with a Manager and 10 nodes (running Server as a service). The user has local admin rights on each PC and is running the service.

When a job is rendered to the farm, the manager will render, but each node comes back with "Cmdjob adapter: process exit abnormally,Exit code is 211."

Initial research looked like permissions error on shared drive. Have given user modify rights on the shared folder.

Exit code 211 means that the render nodes cannot find where the scene file is. This could mean several things. When you create the Backburner Job in maya, do you use a Custom Command to specify where project file is located on the network? If so, double check the location you put in for that. 

This could also mean there is a communication failure between the render nodes and the server that the project file is located on. Do a Ping on each machine to make sure they are all communicating properly. 

Hope his helps, I occasionally get that error myself and it's an easy fix.
