I'm trying to figure out the best step-by-step to make a curved plane for a simple floor and background using a polygon plane as in the screenshot I've attached.
I used the bend deformer as one solution, but I don't that is useful for beginners.
This one is a plane and uses a polysplit1 and polysplit2 and I have no idea how it is done. Can anyone give me quick step-by-step on curving a plane in this manner please?
in side view (right) make a curve, here i have 3 (the white ones are linear, and the green is cubic)
make it whatever slope you want, but will look like this:
select those three curves, in surface > edit curves > attach curves (option connect) to create desired backplane shape.
select surface > extrude (adjust length as needed)
select the newly made NURB surface
select modify > convert > NURB to polygon (adjust U V settings as desire)
