where has Autodesk hidden the connect joint tool

I have recently started using Maya LT 2015 and whilst creating a skeleton rig I noticed that the Connect Joint tool which used to be under the Skeleton tab has disappeared. I'm trying to create a star shaped skeleton with a central root and then 5-6 bones protuding from it. I've tried using the Insert Joint tool but all that does is add an extra bone in between two existing joints. I also tried linking the bones with "P" but that adds this horrible "transform" node in between the two joints which I don't want. Any ideas?

Thanks

This reference is saying that it is there but I do not see this available to me either. Could someone please respond to this ?

Hi Sebastian,

The Connect Joint, Disconnect Joint and Remove Joints commands have been added in Maya LT 2016 EXT 1.
