I have Maya LT I need to render

Is there a standalone renderer with lighting and materials I could use to render what I model in maya LT? I am making a game trailer for my indie company and I would like the quality to be very good. I know you can render in UDK but I am not too familir with that. I am very familar with Mentalray and Vray but with maya LT those are not an option. My graphics cards are Dual AMD fire pros so I can not use Nvidia's CUDA which means any GPU renderers will not work for me, as far as I know.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Hi there,

If you would like to do this inside Maya LT, One of the things you can do is use Dx11 or ShaderFX shaders and do your rendering through the viewport.  You can actually get quite good quality in the viewport I think your AMD Fire Pros should work pretty well.

To render out a sequence you would use Playblast, take a look at this thread

Creating Sprites/Imagess with Playblast

Here's an example of what can be achieved in the viewport.

realtime dx11 tessellation in maya 2013.5

There are probably other good options for getting your renders done outside, but this is the best way to do it inside Maya LT.

Good luck,

Remi
