Maya to AutoCAD: Object Names not exporting

I am exporting a dxf/dwg to AutoCad from Maya. The Maya scene contains 4 different layers, each layer has x amount of objects (spline circles), each object has a specific name. 

When the file is opened  in AutoCAD, only the layers names are shown, when  hovering over the object, it just says "spline".  The object names don't seem to be imported into AutoCAD, or at least I can't seem to find them.

How do I import object names into AUtoCAD from Maya?

Hello,

When working with AutoCAD objects are listed as their property ie; Line, Spline, Polyline, etc.

So while the objects have a name in Maya, these object names will not carry over into AutoCAD as it wants to use the property name.
