Okay, so i got maya 2014 student version for free. I'm new to these types of software but have been learning lately. My questions is: Can you import objects from the student Maya 2014 to UDK (Unreal Developement Kit)? I want to try making a game, not trying to sell it but using maya with game engines is a big part of learning this. I noticed there is not an FBX plug in for Maya 2014 and that it is not already in Maya either. So, is it just impossible for me with the Student Maya 2014?

Hello,
Thank you for posting to The Area Forums.
Maya 2014 should be able to export FBX files. It is possible that you do not have the FBX plugin loaded and that is why you are not seeing it as an export\import option. To load the plugin, go to Window > Settings\Preferences > Plugin Manager. Find fbxmaya.mll and make sure it is loaded and auto load. After that you should be able to see it as an option in the export and import windows.
Hope that information helps,
Cheers,
