Hide groups

Hi,

 

i have create a object out of a curve through revolve. The object and the curve are in 2 different display-layers.
Now i want to group the objects and the curves and hide the group. 
Because i want man Display clear to work on new objects.
This doesnt work.

Can you help me?

If the curve and the lofted surfaces are in 2 different layers, select one of them and right-click on the layer that the other one is in, and select "add selected objects."

 

Then in the outliner, select both the curve and the lofted surfaces and press Control+g.  Now you can toggle visibility in the layer to turn the group on and off.
