Bend with a NURBS curve?

Hi

I was wondering if there is a way to bend geometry based on a curve? I have created some strapping that I want to bend. The problem with the standard bend deformer is that it is too uniform for what I want to do.

Attached an image showing the bend deformer on the left, and the curve that I would like the object to follow on the right.

Any help would be awesome

Thanks

Just extrude from your curve...you gonna need another circle curve , select that and the S curve and extrude, then you can adjust the thickness by resizing the circle curve.
