Rig causing "currentTime -update false #" to update anyway

When I load my rig I am no longer able to MMB click on a frame in the timeslider without the rig updating to the new position. This means that the "update false" flag for currentTime is somehow broken.

I cannot find out what I have done wrong, no how to debug this, but I assume that I have made some connections in the rig that forces a full update on time change despite the update false flag.

I am using a custom python plugin node for my rig and I guess that this could be the cause. However, even when deleting the node from my rig, the problem remains.

I would much appreciate any pointers on how to debug this or ideas for what could be the cause, as it is a feature that I use heavily when animating.

Cheers and thanks in advance

Hi!

What Evaluation mode and Maya version are you using?

That was exactly the hint I needed. Changing Evaluation Mode fixed the problem! Thanks 🙂

For good measures, I'm on Maya 2019
