It would be nice to have a Native (C++) SDK for the Platform API (Foundation, Geometry, PlatformBase, etc)
At the moment if we want to extend MapGuide Enterprise at the native level, we have to dive into the source code for the Open Source version and hope (pray) that our custom code will properly interface with the MapGuide Enterprise dlls.
Similarly, if this SDK could target both MapGuide Enterprise and AutoCAD Map3D (since they both use this same set of shared libraries for their respective APIs), then that would allow us to write extensions that work on both products!
