Security in Word files when working with the Publisher add-in

I intend to give out a Word file with an exploded view of a tool. I have created that Word file using the publisher add-in (Inventor Publisher 2015).

Now my two questions are:

1) Can the customer in ANY way extract the data from there to get Inventor compatible data out of it? I want to prevent that anyone can sort of reverse-engineer the file to get our technical drawings.

The customer needs the word file to add his product codes to the exploded view.

2) When I create an Adobe PDF from that Word file, is there a way to get the data out in this case? I need to be absolutely sure that no one an extraxt "useable" data to reverse-engineer the products.

Thank you.

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for the questions.

The answer is "No" to both of your questions. The Word file only contains image and text, no Publisher format data or source CAD data, so it can not be reverse-engineered to drawings or products.

Thanks,
