Installation problems

Inventor R10

I am trying to run the Free 30 day trial of Publisher and receive error message upon trying to run Publisher:  The installation went through with no issue.

"Inventor Publisher.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenicence."

I tried the Debug button but nothing happened.

Thanks - Mike

Hello,

Could I have your machine specifications, including the OS and if it is 32 bit or 64 bit?

HI,

Please extract the AdskDiagOutput utility from the attached zip file.

Open a command window and navigate to the folder where you extracted the utility.  Type :

AdskDiagOutput f> out.txt

The utility will run and generate the out.txt file. Please send me this file so I can examine it and pass it off to our graphics experts if necessary.

Thanks!

Manjiri

Could you check and see that you do not have Harware Rendering turned off?it should ideally be set to High.

The setting can be found in your Desktop Properties->Settings Tab->Advanced Button->Troubleshoot tab. Let me know if you can't access this.

Found the work around this issue.

Issue Description

KB913384 FIX: A .NET Framework 2.0 application that runs under a user account context when no user profile is associated with the user account context may crash, or you may receive an access violation error message

but since the last release of the .NET fixes this patch does not longer work.  Have you seen this before.

If the application is open with the RUN AS option then no problems.

Regards;

MIKE
