insert model: .skp file(3d hand), how to get proportionate to .iam model?

Has anyone inserted any SketchUp (.skp) files and then been able to resize them to be proportionate to the already inserted .iam model in Inventor Publisher 2013?

Hello,

Thank you for the inquiry.
Inventor Publisher doesn't support scale(resize) the model after you insert it to Publisher.

Thanks,

Thank you. I was able to bring the .skp file into AutoDesk 3DS Max and scale.

Now I want to export to .U3D, are there any AutoDesk products that export to .U3D?

Can a .skp file be imported into AutoDesk Inventor, scaled, and then exported to .U3D?

It would be most efficient to create .ipn files (exploded product views) with imported .skp (hands)

that can be exported directly to .U3D

Hello,

What I can confirm for you is that unfortunately at this point, Inventor can not import .skp file directly and can not export to .U3D.
You need to find alternative ways to do what you want. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

-Huan

The u3d format is an odd one.

I've been told the simlab plug-in works, but I've not tried it myself:

Good luck!
