selection methods

be able to use different selection methods inside every feature in Inventor.

for example window selection, tangent chain, non tangent chain, from to loop selection, colour filters, face filters, solid filters, and so on

This would be a huge time saver for me.  Imagine a very complex part and I just want to select a large portion of its faces.  If I had the ability to add to a selection by tangency, etc, I could save myself probably 500 clicks.

Why would you not have full selection access in all features.  Granted some selection methods may not be appropriate for some features.  This is a very common gripe in our user community.

Agreed, but we don't have a half-baked status in this Ideas section......

We were perhaps premature in changing the status for this one. We did tangent select (yes to a "certain degree") in R2; we will be doing window select (again to a "certain degree" in R3). I'm not aware of plans for non-tangent select or colour select or the others mentioned, at this stage though.
